Dates for our 2022 Beginner Courses are now live! We're currently booking for courses starting in April, May and July - more dates will be added during the summer, so keep an eye on our Facebook page or Twitter. We're really looking forward to welcoming you all onto the beautiful River Medway this summer!
... finished reading the last one, it's time for another newsletter!
Here's the thing: someone needs to write something for it. And when I say "someone", I mean you! Gear reviews, trip reports, poetry, whatever you think the rest of the Club would like to hear about. Please send to the usual address - email@example.com
Since the conditions amount to force 4, this trip is cancelled on safety grounds. Watch out for the next good tide on a better day.
I'm really sorry, but the pool has just called me (14:30) and told me that their lifeguard has fallen over and broken her ankle. They've been unable to find a replacement lifeguard.Unfortunately they won't accept one of our lifeguards - only their own vetted employees - and so I have to cancel tonight's session.I'm really sorry about that - please book on the next available slot, and I look forward to seeing you on the next one.
Matt C took some videos of our Saturday paddle on the Dee last week - enjoy!
For those that missed Jon representing MCC on our local radio station, here's the interview - worth listening to, you might have been mentioned! Interview Part 1, Part 2, Part 3.
Good to see people at the work day today, making progress on the new building! Apologies to those I didn't get in the photo, you were probably moving too fast for me to catch you ;-)
Our very own Jon Lock will be on the radio representing Maidstone Canoe Club tomorrow afternoon (Friday 28th Jan) from 1:30pm - 2:00pm! He's on the Paul Edwards "Bit in the Middle" show - give it a listen, maybe even message in to the show and say hi! (If you ask nicely, Jon might even autograph your paddle)
