Beginner Course Spaces

We've still got spaces on our beginner course this Saturday - get in quick, the weather's going to be lovely!

Moving Water Skills

Water flows downhill.  Sometimes the "down" bit is steeper than at other times!  Learn the basics of moving water paddling with Mary (Level 3 & WW coach) on the gentle flows at Chartham, August 17th. If you're venturing further afield where there might be weirs, riffles, chutes and other features, it's good to get the basics in place to deal with them calmly and in control.

Suitable for paddlers of 2* / Explore Award standard and above.  Contact Mary for details.

London Canoe Trails

British Canoeing have launched some new paddle trails in the heart of the Big Smoke which are worth a look.  You've always been able to kayak on London's canals and waterways, but it's great to have these handy trail maps & guides - check them out while the weather's hot!

Beach Barbecue & Paddle

Once again, Norman is organising the now-legendary Joss Bay Beach Party & Barbecue on Bank Holiday Weekend.  Sunday 25th August - all welcome, including significant others, kids, and waifs & strays.  Always a good fun day out - see you there!

Club Membership

Just to let everybody know I will be trialling the British Canoeing Club+ facility to coordinate our club membership list with the BC data base. This will help the club keep up to date with members details and provide a useful resource. I will restrict the trial to club members who are also BC members. In the initial stage the facility will allow me as membership secretary to send emails to all the members with BC membership and I will use this method to keep you informed of future plans, for example, renewing membership and paying fees which we may use for the 2020/21 membership year. If the trail goes well it will be extended to club members who are not BC members if this proves possible.
