The river is likely to remain reasonably high on Sunday morning, depending on rainfall. The food warning remains in place: https://riverlevels.uk/flood-warning-lower-river-medway#.Y2Ym-S-l2X0
As always, please make sure that your abilities match the conditions you find on the water, and if in doubt, ask!
We've booked in another pool session at the usual pool (Weald Leisure Centre, Cranbrook) on Tuesday 15th November. This will be the final pool session of 2022, so make the most of it! More pool sessions in 2023, although it's currently not confirmed where they will be held.
Please book online.
Those of you who have been out & about recently may have noticed there's more river than usual! Depending on rainfall over the next couple of days, Sunday's regular paddle may not be suitable for everyone. Please check the website on Saturday afternoon before coming down if you're not sure of your ability in these conditions.
Huge congratulations to our new club Paddlesport Instructors Carolyn H, Michaela W, Jon L and Tom P! And a big shout out to Escape Outdoors for all their expert coaching this year!
The Club could really use your help! We currently don't have a first aid officer. The role can be as much or as little as you want - as a minimum, keeping the first aid kit topped up, but if you wanted to expand the role to arranging (or running) first aid training or anything else, then it's yours to run with! If you've a background in healthcare - nurse, paramedic, brain surgeon, St John's ambulance trainer, etc. - then even better!
Please contact Catherine D - firstname.lastname@example.org - to chat about what's involved.
Lots of spooky fun had on our Halloween Paddle!

For those that missed it the first time around, Catherine A came home with two golds, a silver and a bronze at the National Sprint Regattas this summer. #shepaddles
The Medway Countryside partnership are running a work party to remove floating pennywort, a non native invasive species, from the Medway at Yalding.
They are looking for volunteers in canoes or kayaks to rake and collect the pennywort.
If you can help out, please contact Catherine Dacey (email@example.com) by 7th November so we can arrange transport of boats and advise MCP of our numbers.
There will be tea/ coffee and cake provided along with alcohol gel.
