Leanne & Dean have re-organised the racing boat store so that all Club paddles are on one side, and all private paddles are on the other. Please ensure you put them back in the correct place.
More importantly, there is now no excuse for using other people's private paddles - use a Club one if you don't have your own.
Just a quick reminder that the Women & Girls Come & Try sessions are happening this Saturday, 15th September. Please pass this on to anyone you think might be interested in trying out kayaking, canoeing or other paddlesports in a female-friendly supportive environment. See the main calendar pages for the morning session and afternoon session details, and contact email@example.com for more or to book a space.
The next Committee meeting will be next Wednesday night (12th September); if you want anything brought up, requests or suggestions, please mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
Lee Valley Whitewater Centre re-opens to the paddling public this Saturday after the excitement of the Olympics. Thereafter it looks like it's going to be open every Saturday & Sunday all day, and from 6pm on Friday nights.
It's an ideal opportunity for someone to organise another Club trip there, and also makes a great short-notice whitewater paddling trip if you've got a couple of hours free one weekend.
Details, dates, & online booking are here.
Unfortunately the Gower trip has been cancelled due to unforseen circumstances, and will not be going ahead this weekend.
