Some photos of Annie's Stour trip on Sunday, courtesy of Ian. What were you up to this weekend?
Protip: emptying your boat and drying it with a sponge before it goes back in the boat shed is Good Karma. In your next life, you'll come back as a Better Paddler!
Annie's leading a trip on the lovely Stour this Saturday, meeting at the Club at 8:30. This is one of our prettiest local rivers and well worth a trip, both for beginners and those with more experience. Please drop Annie a mail - email@example.com - if you're thinking of coming so she can liaise with boats, transport, etc.
... is the title of the best-selling book by Marie Kondo, who is, believe it or not, a tidying-up consultant. That's right - tidying up is now an actual paid-money job. [Feel free to insert your own old-man grumble about millenials here]
Sadly, back in the real world, no-one is paying us to tidy up the boat shed. It would be lovely, therefore, if we could put the boats back in the correct rack. The racks are conveniently numbered; so are the boats. It's like Snap - just match the numbers on the boats to the numbers on the racks!
Obviously it's not you that's putting them back in the wrong place - it's those pesky Other People - but all the same, please try ;-)
We've just added new beginner course dates! Friday 19th July, Sunday 21st July, Saturday 3rd August, Saturday 10th August, Wednesday 4th September (then 11th, 18th, 25th), and Saturday 7th September - get in quick, they're going fast this year!
Scary. Ginger. Sporty. Baby. Posh. Yes, all kinds of people want to come to the pool session. Unless you’re actually at the Spice Girls reunion at Wembley tomorrow, you should come too!
With an inexpensive waterproof case, you can take your mobile phone or tablet on the river and read the newsletter while you float along! Enjoy!
