If you've ever fancied paddling whitewater but weren't sure where to start, this is the trip for you! A coached weekend introducing the basics of moving water on teh beautiful River Dee, probably the best venue for this kind of paddling in the country. See the calendar for full details, suitability, costs, etc.
True fact. And, he was born on October 6th, 1898 - exactly one hundred and twenty years before our pool session tomorrow! Jack Cohen - we salute you!
The beginner courses are over for another year. Congratulations to everyone who completed their beginner courses this season. And of course a massive "thank you" to all those Club members who helped make them a success - whether coaching on the water, helping to fit boats and paddles, repairing kayaks, or just being a friendly face for a nervous newcomer!
Don't forget there's a rowing race this Sunday (23rd) and so there will be no regular paddle at the Club. There are a couple of other trips running, so come along and broaden your paddling horizons!
Lots going on at the Club last weekend - trips to both the Wye and North Wales, as well as all the usual stuff! If you missed those, there's plenty coming up in the next week or so - paddles on the Medway Estuary, River Stour, and tidal Cuckmere - so take advantage of the good weather and get in touch with the organisers to get booked in!
PS - no regular paddle next weekend due to rowing, don't forget!
This Saturday's River Stour Trip has been postponed until September 29th. Please see calendar for new details.
Please contact Annie if you'd like to come on this trip, and particularly if you can help transport boats for newer members.

While he was a fair poet, it seems he absolutely sucked at thinking up names for them. Come to Larkfield Leisure Centre, for our August Pool Session (and Poetry Appreciation Club) You'll be glad you did!
