A busy weekend of fun in the sunshine at the Club - huge congratulations to our latest Discover Award graduates on today's beginner course. See you soon!
Club member & Social Secretary Jon Lock was once again on the radio with Paul Edwards last week, talking about the Maidstone Marathon and all things canoeing! If you missed it, you can catch up here: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, and Part 4
We've still got spaces on our Canoeing Beginner Course on the 19th & 26th June. This is a rare opportunity to learn to paddle a Canadian-style open canoe - we typically only run one of these each year! These boats are fantastic for couples, families, bushcraft and wilderness paddling, as well as a great craft for those who don't like the enclosed feel of a kayak. Spaces are strictly limited.
A huge thanks to everyone who got involved at the marathon today! Photos courtesy of Reece.
Following the great success of the Maidstone Marathon we need our members help again for the club open day this Saturday 21st May. If you can help, on and off the water, please let us know. As well as instructors we will need help booking people in and getting them ready for the water. There will be the usual barbecue, so plenty to do. Drop me an email or let us know via our WhatsApp groups.
Work is starting on our exciting new building! If you can wield a spade or a paintbrush - or even just a kettle! - then please come down tomorrow, Saturday 14th May and help your Club!
We've still got spaces on some of our beginner courses for this year, including a last-minute space for this weekend and our amazing Kids Only Beginner Course in July!
