Intro to Whitewater

If you fancy moving on to moving water (see what I did there?), then our amazing Intro to Whitewater weekend on the lovely River Dee in North Wales is for you!  We'll spend the weekend working on techniques to have fun on the rapids while staying in control.  You should ideally have done the Flatwater Skills for Dynamic Water Progression course beforehand (or have the skills covered), but drop me a line if you haven't and we can have a chat.

Kent and beyond

Beult. The Swale. Stour. Hammer Stream. Rother. And there are dozens more besides just in Kent!

if you'd like to stretch your paddling legs but aren't sure where to start, then sign up for the Explore or Touring Awards running in the next few weeks. They'll give you the knowledge and confidence you need to paddle further afield - and teach you some skills to boot!  See the calendar for dates and to book.

New course dates released

As Ratty famously said in The Wind in the Willows, there is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats!  That goes double when the weather is as gorgeous as it has been for the last few weeks.

We've just added more beginner course dates in July & August - check the website for details and to book online!

Our legendary Junior Paddle Club is also going from strength to strength, with new-paddler inductions every Tuesday evening - again, booking is open online!

We look forward to seeing you on the river!

I found an abandoned pair of shades in one of the Ethos 10s tonight. They're in a safe place - if they're yours, drop me a line and I'll tell you where it is!

Pool sessions are great!

Roses are red,

Swimming pools are blue,

Lots of people are practicing rescues,

And so should you!

Rescue practice

Pool sessions are a great place to practice your capsizes, learn to rescue yourself and others, and maybe learn some new skills so you can be more adventurous with your paddling!  There's plenty of help available from coaches and experienced paddlers, just ask :-). The next pool session is June 20th - please book online.

Islands of the Medway Estuary

There are a couple of spaces for a beginner course this weekend!  Get in while the sun is shining, it might not last!
