Don't forget our Midsummer Moonlight Paddle this Tuesday! The Medway by Moonlight, on the full moon closest to midsummer - it's going to be gorgeous!
If Carlsberg did kayak courses, it would be the FSRT. We've had a last-minute space open up on ours this weekend (June 11th) - first come, first served!
By an astonishing coincidence, our pool session next week falls on the 502nd anniversary of the jousting contest and meeting between Henry VIII & Francis I at the Field of the Cloth of Gold near Calais. We will - of course - be celebrating this important occasion at the pool session. See you there! (Plate armour & horses will not permitted in the pool)
The Summer 2022 Newsletter is here!
Pool sessions are now open to non-members - please share this with any other paddlers you know who aren't currently MCC members (they will need British Canoeing membership)
We've got a first aid course running on July 16th, focussing on skills useful on the water and off. If you haven't done a first aid course for a while, it's definitely worth getting an update - things have moved on, and it's good to have it fresh in your mind if you do ever need it.
This 8-hour course is approved by British Canoeing for coaching and river leading qualifications.
There are still spaces for the pool session tomorrow! Rolls, capsizes, braces, rescues, and general good times - see you there!
Last call for the newsletter! Any last-minute articles, thoughts, gear reviews, or interpretive dance routines to email@example.com by Friday please!
