PAA Resources

PAA Resources

Some useful information for PAAs at Maidstone Canoe Club.

How to add trips to the calendar

PAAs can add trips to the calendar which have Event Registration enabled. This means that people will have to sign up for the trip - so you can limit the numbers, plus see who is coming on your trip. This video shows you how:

You might also want to take a look at our "Guidance for Trip Organisers" page, which gives general advice for the kind of information you might want to put on the calendar entry.  It's generic advice, so it might not all be relevant to your particular paddle, but will still probably be useful.

Useful Docs

The most important one is probably the Standard Operating Procedure, but a full list of Club documents can be found here.

New Paddler Crib Sheets

A useful aide memoire for assessing potential new members who have some experience.  As a guide, anyone joining the Club should either do one of our beginner courses or be at an equivalent standard from previous experience / training.  These crib sheets give a guide to the expected level.

Note that all potential new members need to have completed a consent form before they get on the water.  They should have been emailed these and will bring them with; alternatively, there are some in the top drawer of the filing cabinet (which is where completed forms should be stored).
