To get the most from our kayaking, we need to keep reasonably fit - whether that's for a long summer paddle on the Medway, an overnight trip in sea kayaks or a weekend blast on whitewater. But it's hard to stay motivated during the winter months - so you should sign up for these Paddlefit Session!
Each week, we'll do some stretches before getting in the boats and working through a series of exercises designed to build strength and stamina. We'll try to work at a pace which suits everyone - you won't get left behind - but you'll get the most out of the sessions if you've got some basic skills and are comfortable edging the boat, paddling sideways, etc.
These sessions will particularly benefit paddlers in dynamic environments - whitewater, sea kayaking etc. - but are suitable for all disciplines.
Note this is not a coached session. I'll have some suggested exercises to work through, but I'm not a fitness coach.
