Beginner's Course for Club Newcomers

Paddle with us!  If you're thinking of joining Maidstone Canoe Club and learning to paddle, you're in the right place!  This 4-week Beginner's Course is designed to give you the basic skills to control the boat.  Once you've completed the course, you'll have the confidence and abilities to join us on our trips, tours, and regular paddles on the Medway and beyond.

Please note that courses must be pre-booked.  We are no longer running "open" sessions - all novice paddlers must attend one of our Introductory Courses.  Please see this page for details.

Our courses cost £60 for adults and £40 for children, and are run by our friendly qualified coaches.  They consist of four 2-hour sessions.

If you can't attend one of the sessions, please let one of the coaches know and we'll try to fit you in another time.  Please arrive at 8:30am - we will aim to be on the water by 9:00am.
