Dear Members. 

The MCC year is coming to an end, and the AGM will soon arrive. Every member is invited to attend. It is your right - one in which the committee strongly advocate. There will be many discussions to the future of the Club, and how the committee works on your behalf. No doubt you have been reading and hearing lots for issues that we have faced, and how we are trying to remidy these. Come along and have your say.

There will be a new closed system of voting for committee members this year. You will receive a voting slip with those members who wish to stand for election. Each member will be able to have one vote against those they wish to vote for up to 12 nominations, perhaps among many. If you want to make changes, this will be the time. Voting only at the AGM on the night. Greater explanation will be provided on the night. 

To enable ease of documentation, please let the Club secretary know asap if you wish to stand, nominations can be confirmed and seconded on the night. Put your names forward now, and selecitate support for fyourselves over the next few weeks.

Award ceremoney: This year the committee will also be awarding five awards to those members who have achieved for the Club this last year, or who have made a name for themselves; awards for; Recreational Paddler, racing Paddler, youngster, newcomer, of the year, and chairmans award. Not to forget the President's award for outstanding member of the year. So, come along and join in, by supporting those individuals. After all - it could be you who wins. If you wish to nominate an individual for one of these awards, inform the secretary asap.
