Sorry to strike a sour note on such a cracking weekend of paddles but I have had complaints from two members that their boats have been used without their permission. One was used and contents stored in the boat were left on the floor of the boat store. This is not acceptable, for those that don't realise, private boats in the general store have the owners name on the rack, underneath their boat. The committee have spent a good deal of member's money recently purchasing new club boats and keeping the flleet up-to-date and will continue to do this so there is no excuse not to use club boats if you don't have one of your own. Private boats should not be taken from the store without the consent of the owner.
