It sounds like the first of our new Monthly Away Day Trips went well yesterday, thanks to Geoff and an overnight shower or two to top up the river levels.

The following rivers and dates are just suggestions at the moment. You can see that a few of the trips still need river leaders. Is there anyone who would be prepared to lead a trip on the River Rother or a trip somewhere else if you prefer? It could be on a different section on the Medway if someone would prefer to lead a trip closer to home. Please let me know if you are happy to do this. 

I have put my name down for the trips I expect to be available to lead, however, if someone else would like to lead any of them, please let me know.

May 16th - River Rother - Newenden Bridge to Bodiam Castle Trip leader: Any volunteers?

June 21st - River Wey - Byfleet to Send Trip leader: Niki Norman

July 12th - River Stour - Grove Ferry to Fordwich return Trip leader: Niki Norman

August 16th – River Medway - Tonbridge: around the island and up towards the flood barrier Trip leader: Any volunteers?

September 27th – River Cuckmere - Seven Sisters Country Park to Alfriston.  Trip leaders: Norman Brooks & Geoff Orford

October 25th – River Medway - Yalding to the club (Note that this is the day the clocks go back and we gain an hour to do this paddle!) Trip leader: Steve Chinn

November (date to be confirmed) - River Stour - Toddlers' Cove to Fordwich Trip leader: TBC
