Latest News Zambezi Rafting Charity Challenge Details By Mark Corti A local wildlife charity, Care for the Wild, is running a rafting trip down the Zambezi; please see below if you may be interested in this. Note this is not an MCC trip! " Take the plunge with Care for the Wild! Wild Zambezi Rapids Challenge 15 – 24th November 2013 And make a real difference to African wildlife This November we are giving you the opportunity to follow in the paddles of the BT Red Nose Celebrity Challenge Team and raft down Africa’s famous Zambezi River in aid of wildlife protection. The ‘Zambezi Wild Rapids Challenge’ is a fully supported 10-day adventure with five days of high adrenaline rafting and wild camping on the banks of this mighty river, provided though Charity Challenge – the company tried and tested by the Red Nose Day celebs. Be prepared for a testing and exhilarating ten days paddling through Africa’s wild side - with all profits coming to Care for the Wild to help support our work to rescue, protect and defend wildlife. This is an amazing opportunity for you and your friends or colleagues to test your skills, stamina and fitness to conquer one of Africa’s most iconic rivers, home of the world famous Victoria Falls. You will be with a committed group of adventurous and committed wildlife lovers, using traditional dug out boats and inflatable rafts you will navigate 100kms of the river, camping on its banks at night and experiencing the spectacular wildlife of the river.
