Hampton court trip this Sunday

Due to the heavy rainfall that we have had in the last couple of days the Thames has been red bordered by the port of London authority. This trip will be cancelled and rearranged for another day depending on tides

Got 2 minutes?

Then please sign British Canoeing's Clear Access Clear Waters petition and help give canoeists and kayakers the same rights that walkers and climbers have enjoyed for years.  It will, literally, take two minutes and by signing you're increasing the chances that our voices will be heard.  The new government, with many new MPs and space to manoeuvre, is open to suggestions - but we need you to help!

Canterbury Stour Trip This Sunday Meet at club at 8:30, Leave by 9 Whitehall Close At 9:45 Helmets and Safety Gear Required

Sunday 22 December

This Sunday (22nd December) we'll be running from Teston down to the Club.  There's lots of flow so should be a fun trip!  Meet at 9:30am.

There will be no regular paddle this Sunday.

Festive cheer!

Why not decorate your kayak for the pool session tomorrow?  Baubles would be nice. I’d steer clear of the Christmas lights, though - the extension cable always gets tangled up with the paddle.

Summer Instructor Work

We had an email from BUNAC looking for watersports instructors for 8-10 weeks in the USA next year.  Please drop Ellie an email if it's something you fancy!

"Hi there,

I am writing to let you know about Water Sports Instructor positions available on BUNAC's Summer Camp USA programme, which I think will be of interest to you and your club members. The programme is 8-10 weeks living and working at a Summer Camp in the US teaching children how to canoe and kayak.

Let me know if this would be of interest at all!

Did you know? Calendar

Did you know?  Anyone can add events to the calendar - even you!  If you fancy a paddle, put it in the calendar and take some fellow MCC members with you!  Instructions here.

Breakfast at the Malta

Tim has had great difficulty this year booking our breakfast for 15th December but after many calls they did respond to say we could have a slot at 8am, probably want us gone before the rush. If you still want to go at this earlier hour Tim suggest we just go down in groups leaving in time to get there by 8 and not bother booking.
