A new front door was fitted to the clubhouse today, many thanks to Richard and Roy for getting it done, so your old keys are now of no use. I will be at the club on Wednesday evening (13th) and on Sunday morning (17th) to issue a new key to any club member who wants one, there is a cost of £4. There are keys for this door in the main and racing boat stores, if you use one of these please remember to put it back. Thanks

The fire extinguisher was first patented on this day in 1722 by a man revelling in the unlikely name of French C. Hopffer. Still, you should be safe at the pool session tomorrow.

If you're not going on one of the trips tomorrow (22nd Sept) and are planning on paddling from the Club, be aware there is a rowing race. We will be meeting at the Club as usual and ferrying up to Yalding for a paddle on a quieter stretch. If you have roof bars, straps or vans, please bring them along!
If anyone has found a black fitbit outside the Club - probably on the grass - can they please drop me a line so it can be re-united with it's owner? Thanks!
