Cuckmere Next Weekend

Come and join us on the tidal Cuckmere, where, with luck, the 10-mile paddle will float past as we catch the tide!    This should be a really nice paddle next Sunday (8th October) - more details here.

No Regular Paddle This Sunday - Yalding Instead

Invicta Rowing Club have organised a race this Sunday (1st October), and consequently we're going to re-locate our regular paddle up to Yalding.  Meet at the Club at 9:30am to arrange transport, etc. - see you there!

Cuckmere & Exe Errata

Newsletter errata: the Cuckmere Tidal Tour & Exe Weekend are, of course, in October - not September as in the newsletter.  Apologies!

Responsible Paddlers Needed

Are you a regular Sunday morning paddler? Do you like to potter to the Malta Inn for a relaxing Sunday morning paddle?  If so you could be the person we are looking for.

We have a number of younger paddlers, who are all more than capable of paddling, but need some one or two to make sure they are safe and aware while on the water.  We have a number of members who already volunteer to look after the youngsters and we would like more to lighten the load.

It would require you to sign in the youngsters and take their membership card and parental contact details, make sure they are safe while on the water and then return them and their card to their designated parent or carer after the paddle.

It will mean that you have to wait with the young people when you are off the water, but all the parents / carers know they should be picked up at noon.  If you are interested please contact welfare@maidstonecanoeclub.net

Hope to see you on the water!
