Christmas Party Tickets Here!

We'll be having our annual Christmas Party at the Clubhouse again this year, on Saturday December 9th from 7:30pm.  Tickets are just a fiver, which is frankly the best deal you'll get this festive season!  Canapes and Christmas-themed decor provided; please bring your own drinks.

Tickets are now available here - also available on the door, but please do book in advance if you can so we've got some idea of numbers!

St Peter's St Closure

St Peter's St is going to be closed from Saturday 14th - Monday 16th October for resurfacing works.  It appears there will be some access to the Club during this time, but it's likely to be closed completely for some periods during this.  We may have to park elsewhere and walk in on occasion - it's unclear exactly how long access will be completely prevented for during this time.

Twins?

Simon Cowell and Vladimir Putin share a birthday today.  Coincidence?  Has anyone ever seen them together at the same time?  Something to discuss at the pool session tomorrow!

WASHBURN TRIP 20th/22nd October 2017

Sorry for the late notice, but I have just noticed that the Washburn is running on Sunday 22nd October. This is a great little, grade 2/3, dam-release river in North Yorkshire. This could be combined with a trip on the Saturday on the Tees (section dependent on the group, but could be the section from High Force to Low Force - grade 4 or from Barnard Castle to Winston Bridge - grade 3) or perhaps a run on the Wharfe (grade 2/3/4). Incidentally, it's only about an hour and a half to the River Kent from this area.
If it doesn't rain at all, there is a whitewater course at the Tees Barrage. It runs from 10am to 5pm and I think it is only £8.75 for the day. It has a travelator and you could use a playboat all weekend then.
Please let me know, by email, if you are interested. I need to know as soon as possible so that I can book a bunk house.

Exe-llent Opportunity to Paddle!

Did I use that joke last year?  Sorry!  The Exe & Barle trip is coming up next weekend (13th - 15th October) - a fantastic intro to easy moving water, with a campsite opposite the finest hostelry in Devon where you can tell your tall tales in the evening - contact Geoff and sign up!
