Christmas Party Tickets Here!

We'll be having our annual Christmas Party at the Clubhouse again this year, on Saturday December 9th from 7:30pm.  Tickets are just a fiver, which is frankly the best deal you'll get this festive season!  Canapes and Christmas-themed decor provided; please bring your own drinks.

Tickets are now available here - also available on the door, but please do book in advance if you can so we've got some idea of numbers!

Slovenia Looking Lovely

Thames Trip

Mike Lambourne has organised a trip down the picturesque upper section of the Thames, from Rushey Lock to Reading, next month.  Riverside campsites, beautiful British countryside, and guaranteed(*) sunshine!  In truth, this is a genuinely lovely trip whatever the weather - contact Mike for details.  Suitable for sea boats, open canoes, touring boats, etc.  Speak to Richard if you need to borrow a Club craft.

Leeds Castle Triathlon 24th/25th June 2017

The Leeds Castle Triathlon is on the weekend of 24th and 25th June. The club has provided safety for the past three years and we have been asked to do so again. I have had replies from a few people, but still need more people to volunteer. All you have to do is paddle onto the moat and watch the swimmers. You may need to let a tired swimmer hold onto your kayak while the safety boat comes over to you and takes the swimmer. It is an enjoyable way to spend a morning. We have been offered Leeds Castle tickets which will be distributed to those who support the triathlon.

Please let me know if you can help on either day or both. If you have already said that you can help, it would be good if you could confirm that you will still be available.

Thank you.

Norfolk touring trip

I'm looking at running the Norfolk Broads touring paddle again this year 18th-20th August. This is a really gentle easy touring paddle - no features. We will do a longer paddle in the Saturday and a breakfast paddle on Sunday.

Staying at Salhouse Broad campsite. We will have a BBQ on Friday and go to the pub on Saturday. There are no showers at the campsite.

Let me know if you would like to come. michaelac.wragg@gmail.com

Big Trip Big Up

A quick shout out to all of those going on the Club's Big Trips this weekend, to the Wilds of Scotland (sea kayaking) and the Wilds of Slovenia (whitewater).  To those of you not going: there's always next year!  And in the meantime, the Club's got plenty of smaller adventures to keep you paddling - see the Calendar for what's coming up!
